The search for halal food
Over 1300 years ago, Muslim traders from the Levant travelled east, their caravans tracing the Great Wall of China in pursuit of trade and knowledge. They were explorers, scholars, and storytellers, carrying with them the values of honesty, hospitality, and faith.
In lands far from home, these travellers sought halal food. Out of this need, the kebab was born – meat cooked over fire, simple, and halal.
Over time, it became a mark of identity, a way of preserving faith in distant lands. From the Levant to Persia, from Central Asia to the subcontinent, the kebab travelled too, adapting, transforming, yet always retaining its essence.
In its smoke and spice lies a trace of history, a reminder of how Muslim traders shaped commerce and culture, and how their legacy still connects people through kebabs.
